Questions and answers
Are the skins real?
Yes. All our sheepskins, lambskins and cowhides are genuine. We do not sell imitation fur.
Where do the skins come from?
Our sheepskins come from sheep in New Zealand and Australia and are tanned in China. Our cowhides come from South America. We buy from a regular supplier.
Are animals killed for the skin?
Sheepskins and cowhides are by-products of meat production. The skins would otherwise go to waste.
How long does delivery take?
In stock, ships within 1 to 2 working days. Items we order from our supplier: available, delivery in 5 to 8 working days. The product page shows the delivery time for your colour and size.
What does shipping cost?
Shipping in the Netherlands costs € 3.85 and is free from € 75.00.
Can I return my order?
Yes. You have a 30-day cooling-off period. Use the link “Withdraw from your purchase here” at the bottom of every page.
Is every skin the same?
No. Every skin is a natural product. Shape, wool length, colour and markings differ per piece. Sizes are approximate.
Why do I see loose fibres on a new skin?
A new sheepskin can lose some loose fibres at first. Shake it out and brush it; this soon stops.
Can I wash a sheepskin?
By hand in lukewarm water (max. 30 °C) with lambskin shampoo, then dry flat away from heat. See our care guide.
Can I order a colour swatch first?
Yes. A 15 x 15 cm sheepskin swatch exists in every colour. If a swatch cannot be ordered online right now, ask us by WhatsApp or email.
Do you supply businesses?
Yes. You get volume discount in the shop from 5 pieces per product, and for larger quantities we make a quote. See Business orders.
Is a lambskin suitable for babies?
Many parents use a shorn lambskin in the pram or as a play mat. Do not use a skin as a sleeping surface in a baby’s cot.
