Care guide
Sheepskin and lambskin
- Shake the skin out regularly and brush it with a coarse brush or wide comb, in the direction of the wool.
- Dab stains straight away with a damp cloth. Do not rub.
- For a wash: by hand in lukewarm water (max. 30 °C) with a special lambskin shampoo. Do not wring.
- Dry flat, out of the sun and away from heaters. Gently pull the skin into shape while it is still damp, then brush the wool.
- Do not put the skin in the washing machine or tumble dryer, unless the product description says it can.
Tibetan lambskin
- Shake gently. Separate the curls with your fingers or a wide comb; do not brush hard, or the curls flatten.
- Keep dry. For stains, use a slightly damp cloth. For a full clean, go to a specialist cleaner.
Cowhide
- Shake out or vacuum on a low setting, in the direction of the hair, without a rotating brush.
- Dab spills straight away with a damp cloth and a little mild soap. Keep the leather side dry.
- Turn the hide now and then so it wears evenly, and keep it out of strong direct sunlight to prevent fading.
Leather
- Store rolled, not folded, in a dry place out of the sun.
- Treat with a leather care product suitable for the type of leather.
